the capability of searching around to find solutions for a given question is essential for general intelligence

different people has different levels of this kind of capability

a smart people is the one who is able to quickly find answers / solutions

it means they can solve problem by themselves

don’t need supervision, or teaching

they can solve problem faster

for an agent, this is the same

while llm is able to memorize lots of things

many things are never seen before, never appear in training data

so all chatbot today heavily relies on google search to find relevant information

data, indexing, search becomes more important today as accessibility is significantly improved through chatbot
